Information re: Elf Power
ELF POWER Elf Power formed in 1994 and have spent the last 12 years releasing seven albums, two eps, a handful of singles, and touring America, Europe, Japan and Brazil, winning converts around the globe (and beyond!?!). 2005 found the band hard at work again, writing and recording their seventh masterpiece enititled "Back to the Web". Released worldwide on April 25, 2006 by Rykodisc (www.rykodisc.com). "Back to the Web" is a dark, lushly orchestrated mix of eclectic songwriting that is sure to conjure up memories of 1997's "When the Red King Comes", but with a more mature approach to arrangements, lyrics, and instrumentation. Members of Elf Power also run their own label/conservation group entitled Orange Twin (see www.orangetwin.com). The label has released albums from Elf Power, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sibylle Baier, the Instruments and many more. Proceeds from Orange Twin sales go towards supporting the land conservation group, which own 150 acres of land on the outskirts of Athens. The band is also part of The Elephant 6 Collective along with Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control, Beulah and more. Rykodisc, Orange Twin
